What We Fund
The Turrell Fund applauds the dedication and hard work of all organizations committed to giving children the greatest possible opportunity for success.
With its limited resources, the Turrell Fund seeks to support pioneering programs which have achieved, or have the promise of achieving, breakthrough results, and which can be a model for others to emulate.
Programs serving children and families must be in Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Union counties in New Jersey, or in Vermont. Programs must align with one or more of our focus areas.
Our Core Focus Areas Are:
New Jersey
- Early Childhood
- K-12 Education

- Food Security
- Arts
Turrell Fund Grants Are Awarded to Organizations That:

- (Example: Arts Bus in Vermont. The Arts Bus began as a community response to the challenge that many rural families faced in reaching arts activities located far from home. A donated school bus was retrofitted into a traveling studio through collaboration with local artists, students, and community members, creating a model of “bringing the arts to the children” rather than expecting children to travel to arts institutions. The Arts Bus now travels to over 20 communities in Vermont
